Benihana's to celebrate the big 3-5!

Benihanas was the choice when it came to my bday dinner! Kayden joined my family when she was a few months old, nearly 6 years ago. So, we were long overdue for this special treat. The kids loved the "show" put on by the cooks (thats not their official name, but I havent a clue what it is)...The food was delicious as always but the company was better. Kayden even got up and pretended to be our cook and had everyone cracking up!

We are going to miss our Mickey!

SMC graduation was in mid-May and we had to say "good bye " to the seniors on the team. SMC graduation is one of the best if seen, and having been a graduate of SMC I am lucky to have experienced it first hand. After the ceremony and distribution of diplomas, all the seniors party on campus grounds. There are pop up tents everywhere with djs, food, and lots of drinks. The seniors purchase plots for their families and friends to celebrate this big day.

We are sad to say good bye to the seniors Phil and Mickey. Mickey is JRobs idol and he has come to be very close to our family.

Although the Croys are new to the SMC family, we thank Mickey for all the memories this past year!!

A preview to our summer...swim, swim and more swim!

Mothers Day Tea at Valle Verde

I enjoyed a special Mothers Day celebration with Kayden at her school. We arrived to story time with our loved one and were then escorted inside the MUR for a performance. We enjoyed tea and little treats while we watched all the kids sing songs. My favorite part was when each kid told us why they love their mommy. It was classic! Some kids were sweet and others just flat out hilarious!!

Pier 39- April 2011

At the tail end of the kids Spring Break, we took an impromptu trip to Pier 39 with Grammie. It was a perfect day in the city. The trip began with a ride on BART. Then we hopped on a cable car in SF to have it drop us off at Pier 39. We decided to take the kids to the Aquarium, which they loved! Enjoyed lunch outside and then checked out the seals....

Oakland A's- Pee Wee Baseball

JRob waited very patiently for the day when he would be on his very own team...Not a camp or a little recreational class but a team! One with a real coach, uniform and GAMES!!! JRob did tball and barely made the age cutoff (actually he missed it by a day but no one was checking birth certificates!) So once again he was the youngest but proved otherwise on the field. He loved getting to play different positions but lived for his opportunity at bat each game.

He said his team won every game, even though at this age its an "equal opportunity" and no score is acually kept. I believe Jrob kept his own score each game as he would explain why and how his team won that particular contest.

We have many more Springtimes spent on the baseball diamond.....

Love this girl!

I LOVE this girl! She makes me laugh each and every day!

Smith Family Farm Field Trip

I had such a great time joining Kaydens class on a field trip this school year! She was so excited to ride a school bus it was hilarious! I kept reminding her the family farm theyd be visitng would be pretty darn fun too!

Once the children arrived, they were buddied up and parents each had a group they were responsible for. Kayden was happy to have been paired up with a good buddy. They saw chickens and a beautiful peacock, held bunnies, learned about bees and bee hives, dug for worms, took a tractor ride and planted a tomato plant. Full day but definitely a fun day!!

Easter in So Cal 2011

We enjoyed a few days down with family for Easter! Cousins were back together and lots of good food, laughter and time was spent together!

Hello Kitty Tea Party for my 6 yr old!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BEAUTIFULLY FUNNY, WITTY, STRONG WILLED AND SMART 6 YR OLD!!!! WE LOVE YOU WITH ALL OF OUR HEARTS.....

The party was Hello Kitty themed so of course each attendee was given a Hello Kitty bow head band, as well as a few whiskers. The day was filled with games, flip flop decorating, cupcake decorating and much more! What would a tea party be without little tea sandwiches and scones as well! Rick helped to round up all the 5-7 year olds by telling them if they heard him yell "Kitties" they had to stop what they were doing and "Meow". It was hilarious and totally worked! With that many little girls running around we needed something to get their attention at times!
