WEDDING-Brandon and Andrea/August 2009

My cousin Brandon and his girlfriend of 10+ years....finally tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony and reception this past August. The wedding brought all of my moms side of the family together and we enjoyed seeing all the cousins, aunts and uncles tear it up on the dance floor. Brandon and Andrea had a rockin' live band for entertainment thru the night and let me tell you....the Bangerts know how to P-A-R-T-Y! We wore out the dance floor and these pictures dont even come close to doing the fun any justice!

Beach Day #2 AND LAST BEACH DAY- Summer 2009

We had the BEST luck this summer with our beach days!Living in So Cal we can get spoiled by our great weather and close proximity to a free recreational activity for all to enjoy...So, we sometimes have to be reminded of how great those times are. We celebrated Kaydes bday at the beach in April. And although the party was a hit, the weather just flat out sucked! I couldnt help but be a little bitter heading into summer thinking every beach day would be like that! BOY WAS I WRONG! We didnt get to the beach as often as we would have liked this summer, a handful to be exact, but I think each time we went we had the BEST time! These times were shared with wonderful family and friends and those memories will forever fill our hearts.....
Thanks everyone for a GREAT TIME-SUMMER '09!!

VBS Summer 2009

Kaydes attended her first Vacation Bible School this summer at Calvary. She enjoyed the time learning about God and spending time with some of her favorite people. As a mother, there was some heartfelt moments as Kaydes shared with me her love for the Lord and her knowledge of His sacrifice for us.
Here are a few pictures from the last days performance for family and friends....

Kaydes learns to ride her bike!

Kaydes had been talking for some time about taking her training wheels off her bike. Rick and I werent too sure she'd bounce back if her experience learning at an early age wasnt successful. The girl is COMPETITIVE and went into this learning to ride a bike thing like she had "been there-done that". She was (overly) confident but luckily this worked to her advantage b/c daddy sent her off pedaling in only a few tries. She had only two falls and she pretty much fell gracefully, which in some ways made her that much more confident, as we had talked up the falling as a natural part of the learning process and when it wasnt a big deal, she definitely thought she was "all that"! Well, within a day or two she was going on bike rides, without mommy and daddy, with the neighborhood boys. Pretty unbelievable if you ask me! Can start herself like a champ, rides with confidence and is actually kind of a dare-devil! Daddy and I are so proud of our (little) BIG girl!!

OC FAIR July 2009

Back in July we got invited to go to the OC Fair with our friends, who have two little ones almost exactly the same ages as our two kids. Rick and I didnt really think we were really "fair-goers" but we soon realized we will be making yearly trips back to experience the fun with our family and friends!
Kaydes doesnt seem to be afraid of any ride too BIG or too FAST! She brought out the dare-devil in her friend Gracie. As for JRob, he is happiest on the sideline when it comes to carnival rise, although he bravely rode a train, a giant slide and a few others!
