Goodbye Tonsils and Adenoids!

My baby had to have his tonsils and adenoids out to start the summer. He was such a trooper and never even cried when he came out of surgery. The Dr. and anesthesiologist warned us that kids typically are confused and nauseous when they come out of surgery so their normal response is crying hysterically, so they said "be prepared". I was quite nervous waiting for the Drs to call us back. When they did we walk in and turn the corner to see our blue eyed beauty calmly sitting there with his puppy dog eyes, waiting for a hug from mommy. Precious, I tell you!

Day 1 - eating the only ice cream he ate the whole time during his recovery. Of all times he could O.D. on ice cream treats - he refused and preferred all the foods the Dr said he COULD NOT have!

Future Baller

JRob became obsessed with a few of daddy's players this past season. Two of his favorites were invited to his birthday bash. Not only was I impressed that these two college boys, with many better things to do with their Saturday afternoon than to hangout at a circus themed 5 and 3 yr old birthday party, but they came with a gift for JRob that made me cry. Both boys signed their practice jerseys and gave them to my sweet boy. I couldnt get over how thoughtful that was and in all honestly, I knew it meant the world to JRob.

The jerseys have stayed in a special place since that birthday celebration but on this warm, June evening, JRob requested that he sleep in DeAndres jersey for the night. As you can see in the picture the jersey goes past his ankles, but JRob felt pretty darn special to wear that to bed that night.

San Diego Getaway - Rock and Roll Half Marathon

The Pierce and Croy families joined in San Diego for a fun filled weekend together. The boys played basketball while the girls explored downtown San Diego with the kiddos in search of a bib for our half marathon the following day. We swam at the hotel pool, walked to dinner, kids played in the hotel rooms - going from one rooms bunkbed ot the next. The mommys woke early to run their half marathon and then we spent an afternoon at Legoland!
Whew! Alot was squeezed into a weekend but we had so much fun with our buddies!
Half marathon was a challenge - both Kat and I getting our goals we set for completion time.

Howdy Cowgirl!

Western Day at Calvary Chapel - Isnt she cute?!?!

Sweethearts - End of Season Picnic

Kayden had such an amazing experience playing soccer. We were incredibly blessed to have been placed on this team, as we couldnt have been any luckier with the families we met and spent every Wednesday night and Saturday morning with over the course of 9 weeks. Although Kayden didnt score a goal, she discovered a few things:
she LOVES to compete
and better yet....she LOVES to win!
she loves being a good teammate, as she took any opportunity to praise her teammates and often gave up the ball to pass to the open player
she is fast and has many gears she can turn on and off
she is coachable
she loves the halftime and after game snack
she loves her families support
and most of all she really likes SOCCER!
Soccer isnt a sport that my hubby and I know much about but I can tell you, as a parent of one hard working girl, there was alot of excitement, nerves and near tears watching our girl compete.
We have MANY more years of watching her compete, and both my hubby and I cannot wait!
Until August, when soccer starts up again....you can find my girl and I working on soccer drills in the middle of our street!

The story of my life.....

My girlfriend captured me stressing out at one of Ricks playoff games....Basketball season is over for now, but I imagine I have many more years in this stance!

Jessica and Robs Wedding

My cousin Rob got married in March and its always fun to get together with family. It was a special day for those two and we had a blast celebrating! We rocked the dance floor, in usual fashion. The kids played together and were great sports when it was time to call it a night!

1st Sleepover - Kaydes and Audrey

A few pics from Kaydes first sleepover with her best bud, Audrey. The girls were great and JRob played the little brother role very well, following the girls and copying their every move!

Avila Beach- Spring Break 2010

WE HAVE STARTED A TRADITION!!!!

Over Spring Break, we decided to meet our Nor Cal family up the coast in Avila Beach. We drove to SLO on the way up to meet at a yummy tri tip sandwich place for lunch. It started off a wonderful vacation just right.

The kids had so much fun spending time together. The girls, often harassed by JRob, played together so nice the entire trip.
