1st ANGEL GAME
We were anxious to take the kids to their first Angels game so I felt very thankful when the opportunity presented itself shortly after I returned to work and I was talking with a co-worker that has season tickets. We invited my parents to join us for an evening of first experiences and the night lived up to everything we thought it would be and more! The kids LOVED the fact that they each got a gift when they entered the park-- a very schnazzy Angels over-the-shoulder backpack. Then, they were enamored with baseball players that talked with fans during batting practice. Kaydes and JRob joined in some of the activities for families/kids. And, despite the heat, we found a section of seats in the family section that we chose to sat in over our assigned seats and it worked out magically. The kids loved all the entertainment and FOOD that was a constant throughout the night. It was night well spent and to finish the night off we ran into my cousin who was in town for a short time from NY and her day (my uncle) that I havent seen in 20 years+ . It was an awesome night and there will be many more where that came from!

New Pair of Rain Boots
Grammie came to visit recently from Northern California and took her two little ones shopping at Target. Both JRob and Kaydes fell in love with these rain boots and although we dont get quite as much rain as Grammie does in Nor Cal, she couldnt say no to those two cute faces! So, for the next week or so, JRob and Kaydes pranced around the house in their rain boots. I came out to the garage one day to find JRob stripped down to his bare hiney and low and behold, what is the only thing he is wearing????.....those darn Rain Boots! Perfect photo op, right??? Gotta love it!!!
Girls Getaway 2009
So, Mommy's are allowed to have some fun every once in awhile, right??? Well, my high school buddies and I started a tradition last summer of getting together for a short getaway since we work our booties off all year long being mommies and wives, having careers, and just plain getting things done on a day to day basis! Last summer only Lauren and I ended up making it and we enjoyed some fun in the sun in Palm Springs. This year, Becky came out from Colorado and Jenn joined us as well. So there were four total, but next year we are hoping to get all 7 of us to meet in Vegas! We traveled to Temecula for a day of wine touring, enjoyed a delicious dinner and woke up to head to Glen Ivy Hot Springs for a day of relaxation! We had MANY laughs but most importantly enjoyed one anothers company and continued to learn more about each other. It is crazy to think we have known each other for almost 20 years!!!
Thanks girls for fun, laughter and love!!!
Looking forward to next year!!!!

WEDDING-Brandon and Andrea/August 2009

My cousin Brandon and his girlfriend of 10+ years....finally tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony and reception this past August. The wedding brought all of my moms side of the family together and we enjoyed seeing all the cousins, aunts and uncles tear it up on the dance floor. Brandon and Andrea had a rockin' live band for entertainment thru the night and let me tell you....the Bangerts know how to P-A-R-T-Y! We wore out the dance floor and these pictures dont even come close to doing the fun any justice!

Beach Day #2 AND LAST BEACH DAY- Summer 2009

We had the BEST luck this summer with our beach days!Living in So Cal we can get spoiled by our great weather and close proximity to a free recreational activity for all to enjoy...So, we sometimes have to be reminded of how great those times are. We celebrated Kaydes bday at the beach in April. And although the party was a hit, the weather just flat out sucked! I couldnt help but be a little bitter heading into summer thinking every beach day would be like that! BOY WAS I WRONG! We didnt get to the beach as often as we would have liked this summer, a handful to be exact, but I think each time we went we had the BEST time! These times were shared with wonderful family and friends and those memories will forever fill our hearts.....
Thanks everyone for a GREAT TIME-SUMMER '09!!

VBS Summer 2009
Kaydes attended her first Vacation Bible School this summer at Calvary. She enjoyed the time learning about God and spending time with some of her favorite people. As a mother, there was some heartfelt moments as Kaydes shared with me her love for the Lord and her knowledge of His sacrifice for us.
Here are a few pictures from the last days performance for family and friends....

Kaydes learns to ride her bike!
Kaydes had been talking for some time about taking her training wheels off her bike. Rick and I werent too sure she'd bounce back if her experience learning at an early age wasnt successful. The girl is COMPETITIVE and went into this learning to ride a bike thing like she had "been there-done that". She was (overly) confident but luckily this worked to her advantage b/c daddy sent her off pedaling in only a few tries. She had only two falls and she pretty much fell gracefully, which in some ways made her that much more confident, as we had talked up the falling as a natural part of the learning process and when it wasnt a big deal, she definitely thought she was "all that"! Well, within a day or two she was going on bike rides, without mommy and daddy, with the neighborhood boys. Pretty unbelievable if you ask me! Can start herself like a champ, rides with confidence and is actually kind of a dare-devil! Daddy and I are so proud of our (little) BIG girl!!
